I'm trying to find a gasket (bumper/filter) for a McAllister Vacuum cleaner purchased about 1949. It fits between 1B (motor support) and 1A (dust pan).

Has anyone noticed that the McAllister attachments are the same as the old Silver King parts?

The McAllster vacuum looks so much like a Fairfax vacuum.

BUT....

The rug tool is totally different from anything, and Silver King wands wont work with Mc Allister tools.

Check on-line for Fairfax. They have an online store, just checked and I don't have the address on file or in Favs.
Sorry

I thought it looked familiar. I Google'd Fairfax vacuums and was surprised to see you can still buy one brand new. I was even more shocked to see that they cost $1,500! Are they even remotely worth the price of admission, especially compared to a Kirby, which is more or less the world standard of "Shockingly expensive vacuum cleaner", and is, at least to my mind, more or less worth the price of admission, given all that it does and how long it can be expected to last.
