My dad and I were driving and I saw a handle sticking out of a trash can and I immediately thought SMART VAC. I would have left it but I love Eureka Smart Vacs. They are one of the best plastivacs you can get. Of course I got it, and I was so confused as to what was wrong with whoever threw it away. They cut the cord off, and the cut hose off. I took it apart and wired on a new cord to find that there is literally nothing wrong with it. It isn't clogged, and their is a like new belt on it. I have a junker Smart Vac that I'm going to take the hose and attachments off of for this one, since it is practically brand new. Tomorrow I'll go to WalMart and get some bags and it will be as good as new! I'll definitely use it as one of my daily drivers.

People throw things away for ridiculous reasons, some are just lazy though, and bags are one of the reasons people throw these things away, sad really cos bagged vacs are cleaner and more efficient than bagless vacs... :P | ||

People are lazy, plain as that. Picked up a perfectly good G4 at a thift store for $25 (same thing as throwing away, except donating instead). It has some kind of TINY "type B" bag pushed onto the fill tube connector. There was dust all over the inside of the bag(duh!!). People too cheap to buy Kirby bags or what??? | ||

Chase, seems like we are having the same luck these days! I found a Eureka Smartvac, back in June, & it was in great shape too! All the tools except for the upholstery tool was there, cord & hose were in place too, & no nicks in the cord either. Thankfully, I also had a spare matching upholstery tool for it. All that it really needed was a new set of bags & a HEPA filter, as the previous owners were smokers, & a good cleanup. I use it as a daily driver, along with a yellow Kenmore canister I found recently.

a lot of people cut the cords off to keep peoploe from selling them like vac sbhops do with trade in's. | ||
