The upright vac is spectacular, when was it made? The bag surely looks original but not faded . . . is it a reproduction? Perhaps we could see a close up shot of the motor . . .

As far as I can tell

the bag is original. Below is a picture of the patents on the bag. I'm guessing this is a post-war model? Late 40's? I bought it about 10 years ago.

Nice set. I love the old GE's I've only seen two in person one with the headlight.

Great set you have there........One of my neighbors, when I was a kid, had one of those uprights, and she let me run that thing to my hearts content!  Had even more fun with it after I found the attachments in their box in her basement.....Thanks for sharing those pics!

Very nice set of GE's you have there! Looks like they were well-cared for by their original owner. How did you find these cleaners?

What a cool looking machine! If I ever came across one I'd surely have to take it home!

I think this ad is from about 1948. I'll keep looking to see what else I turn up

Thanks for the ad! I actually bought this on ebay, believe it or not, about 10 years ago. At the time, I didn't realize that they were pretty rare, I just liked the way it looked. :)

Just found this! One of the other models in the ad I think.
