I got a Classic III nozzle yesterday in my thrift finds. It is missing the bumper guard but has the red belt lifter with brush intact.

I need a nozzle for my Tradition. Does anyone know 100% if I were to buy a new Tradition belt lifter and bumper guard would they fit perfectly?

I think it would work fine, and as I said in the other thread, you'll also have the advantage of the suction relief valve on the top of the nozzle... :)

I'm not 100% sure, but the belt lifter finger & spacers from your CIII lifter should work with a new Trad belt lifter body, so all you need to get is the body (see link) and just transfer the parts where necessary... :)

Also, the bumper you need is here:

(copy & paste)

Don't forget to read the instructions there thoroughly, the bumpers are not fun to remove and re-attach, especially if you end up tearing the plastic... :S

I was looking at those exact items, just not sure if I should pull the trigger yet.

I'm sure that they'll still be there when you do decide to convert the nozzle... :)

You could use it as it is actually, you just have to leave the headlight lifted up to avoid hitting the fingers on the CIII belt lifter... :)
