Hi,

I just won this off of Ebay. I had one just like it back in the 80's. I will place more pictures of it in my photo album PR-21.

The wheels are still pliable but have a light chalk dusting on them. It comes off with windex. I will wipe this down with the windex and post another picture all put together.

I have an Eureka Express and I love it. It really gets the dirt out of the rug but mainly i just leave it out for display.

I had a Eureka Express back in the 80's. Loved it. Good suction. Wish I'd held on to the powernozzle!

Have ordered

I am waiting for new belts and filteraire style v bags to arrive. I noticed a youtube video of a Eureka Express, that someone had retrofitted a Miele bag into. Anyone done this? I did start the vacuum up and it actually ran fine, but I don't want to run it until I have the new bags and belts installed. I do have more pictures in my album under our user collections.

Thanks,

Beautiful! This Eureka Express model was the top-rated canister vac in Consumer Reports sometime in the mid 1980's, if I remember correctly.

Brian,

Yes it was highly rated in Consumer Report's. I had one and let my brother have it. He used it for many years. This is one of those you wish you had not got rid of. I am glad to have found this. The tubes have a little rust in them, but that is pretty typical and I had to super glue the rubber part of the back wheel together. Just the tread, for some reason it came apart at the seam. I used locktite  on it.

Thanks for looking
