Dual 80's were made from 1967-1970 so 41-44 years old. Any pictures of it?

Beautiful!  I just recently got a DS80 myself, after wanting one since 1968!  Did you polish it yourself or was it worked-over in a shop?

your d-80

nice d-80! with an "a" in the serial number that would probably make it a 67, possibly an early 68 i will check mine later, i have the box and manual with the purchace date for m machine. one of my favorites!

Things began to look confusing for the sales of the D-80 as in January of 1970 Kirby introduced its Classic 1-CR. I wonder how hard it was for Kirby dealers to sell off the remainder of their D-80 stock when the Classic 1-CR was coming in during the first half of 1970?

my D-80 has the "A" in the s/n, my manual says that it was sold on 2/25/68 im pretty sure the date code on mine was a 67. that bag looks like the correct original color to me, some of the newer bags i have seen were a little darker

d-80

i have a nice d-80, all original, sitting in the living room at this moment. it has no attachments. there are no letters in the serial #. after being out of the army for over 30 years i'm still not a big fan of green. for some reason it is still around. i use it as my part time driver.my 561 takes care of the rest. or i may pull out one of the whimpy 3 or 4 amp. ones. they still do what they do!!
