First I would like to say I am not a Vac collector. I am a gun, marble and old book collector. I am fishing for information on a vac I found in an old house my wife and I bought. I just wanted to be up front. People come on our book site all the time and for what ever reason don't want to say they are just looking for info. We can spot them instantly and I assume you could also. The GE Cleaner AVT 160 is in working condition. The pictures are below. I was wondering if it is collectible. Should I dump it or is it worth enough to pursue it's sale. I appreciate any info. Sam

Thanks for being so open and up front. Nice for a change....

Most definitely pursue the sale of that machine. It's very collectible in my opinion. There have been posts about that machine here on this site in years past, along with the manual for it.

Good luck!

BTW, Marbles? I swallowed one when I was a kid.....a steely.

Would I be to forward if I asked what something like this would be worth? Sam

That's hard to say. For some, (if it were the one elusive machine to complete a collection) it's "worth" might be what ever it takes to buy it. To others $5.00 might be pushing it.

There is no easy answer to that question.

There have been a lot of discussions on here as to the "worth" of machines. Some of them have gotten quite heated.

I don't feel I'm stepping out of bounds here - but you may ask if folks here might interested in it, and leave an e-mail address where you can be contacted. Someone might make on offer.

Who knows - you just might get what you and the buyer both feel is a resonable and mutually satisfying transaction.

Hi: Thought this might help. This is the one from my collection showing what should be with the machine.

Owners Manual is a single folded one-sheet
