I like all of them! How easy/hard is it to push the non-powerdrive Concept? I have power-drive model and find the power-drive too fast to clean well.

Nice finds! I have a non power drive Concept one and I like it a lot. I think it is easier to push than a metal base Convertible. The only problem is its pretty loud so I don't like to run it for very long.

Great Concept Finds

Say that first Concept looks awfully familiar. Isn’t that the one I tested by wiring a temporary cord onto at Philip’s house? Jason, you have quite a few new Concepts now. I like them personally they clean very well, although they are not as attractive as the Hoover Convertibles. Hope you have enough hoses now since you gave me one of yours.

Eureka brandnames on the canister and power nozzle...

eurekaprince's profile picture
It's kind of interesting to see that the Eureka canister shows the "Eureka Williams" style of brandname, as opposed to the power nozzle which is sporting the newer "Electrolux-owned" Eureka Company font. I wonder if this is a unique combination, or was a common occurrence as the company transitioned to new branding. If not, then the power nozzle you got was not originally sold with this canister - i.e. it's a later replacement.

Any thoughts?

Hoover Concept One

Hey Jason, nice find there! I have that exact Concept One! Found mine at a thrift store, it is in mint condition as well. Have always had a love affair with the Concept Line. Always wanted to try a non-powerdrive model. Curious how hard it is to push versus Powerdrive models.

Well, as long as the PN fits... then it works.

For sure, I know the logo on the canister unit was used through 1983-84 while the logo on the PN was used on printed matter as far back as around 1974-76.

Nice finds!  That 728 is a beaut!  I have a pretty nice one, too.. Whenever I show my collection to non-vacuum people, they always comment on that bag.  Love the Eureka canister, too.  Those are fantastic machines!  Thanks for sharing!
