Hi Everyone,
I have my mom's old Kirby Classic 1-CR its been in my garage. I just bought a new handle, brush roll, belt, bulb.

I want to polish it. I've seen the sites of how to do it.

However want some advice. I hear a 4 bristle brush is better than the original.

Also it runs but howls a little. The front fan is able to be moved by hand so I assume it needs new bearings. Is there anywhere that describes how to do that.

Additionally the original metal fan has a couple of broken teeth. Is the lexan fan as good or the non-original plastic or are there metal fans available.

Thanks everyone.

I have been inspired by what I have seen here. I know the Classic 1-CR is kind of dowdy, with the brown trim and all, but I am really looking forward to getting her running right and looking good!

No Pic yet, i have all the exterior stuff taken off.

Terry
