My dad and I were driving around when I saw a familiar handle on someones front porch. I got out of the car and ran to the porch to find a Eureka 2 Speed ESP upright. I knocked and the door to make sure they were getting rid of it. I was greeted by a VERY nice younger lady. I asked about it and she said I could surely have it, and I offered her 5 dollars for it because it was originally in a yard sale she had, but she refused to take it! So I completely lucked out! It even came with an extra bag and a belt! It runs absolutely flawlessly, and just needed a light cleaning and a new belt! There are no nicks or rips in the cord either! There is a bit of paint loss in a few places on the base and handle, but nothing major. There is also no rips in the bag, or stains! Both speeds work as well!
I have a Eureka in the same color, one speed, step on circle switch, small headlight with the "rounded" older looking hood, and just a green vinyl bag in with Eureka printed on it. I'm unsure of the model number, but I'm pretty sure that this belongs with that line.

I'm green with envy

Congratulations, that's a fantastic find!   Those Eurekas are great vacuums and I love the color.

Mmmmm.. That's my favorite Eureka model ever. My next door neighbor's mother had that exact model when I was a kid.. she still had it when I last saw it about 10 years ago. I have two of them that are in kind of scratched-up not so wonderful shape--in boxes out in the garage... I have hopes of finding a minty one someday. There was one on eBay about 4 years ago that I forgot to bid on and it went for not too much. It's such a pretty cleaner! I have a soft-spot for green vacuums. :-)

Congrats!

Weeeeee! Unexpected is right!!!

Look what I found today!!!! I could hardly believe it!!! As I said above; I've wanted a minty one of these for a long time; it's the vacuum my next door neighbor had when I was little. Definitely my favorite Eureka! Even one of the guys running the sale who knows I go for the vacuums said that he didnt recall seeing any, when we were waiting to get in the house. So I was even more excited when I found it. I saw the handle sticking up from behind a table--low an behold it was that model! Yay!! It's gonna need a good scrubbing (smoker's house), but I have no doubt it will clean up just wonderfully!
