Since I am a converted rug doctor nut, I thought it would be interesting to see if anyone has any pictures or details on the older rug doctors?

I'm talking about the ones made prior to the standard style used to day (rectangle box red/blue and white)

I understand that at first they resembled almost a truck mount unit style with big floor tool and hose that went to machine.

Would love some details! What happened to all of them?

Welp, it looks like one made it to ebay if you so desire:

I also dimly remember an advert in the back of an old Popular Mechanics or the like detailing a huge "Carpet Deterger" that went on at length about how you could make a certain amount of money per week by "Deterging" people's carpets. The thing was huge!
