It's here!!!

Ok Brandon,
I know nothing about the Rug Doctor. What is different or what created your interest in the Rug Doctor System? It looks heavy duty in the pictures.

Post# 137595 , Reply# 5   5/24/2011 at 20:50 (4,720 days old) by Brandon_W_T ()

Well I have always kinda loved the rug doctor look. I remember seeing the cheesy commercials as a kid advertising the commercial models.

I knew they were very very durable. The hoover platinum that I have was a good cleaner for sure, but oh so flimsy.

The rug doctor is VERY durable. The tank and housing is made of very thick strong plastic. I could push it down a flight of stairs and I am sure it will come out very well.

The housing vacuum hoses and such are made of thick rubber (water hose has brass fittings with heavy duty rubber tubing)

Very good suction, and isn't too loud!

Brandon,

Don't be rough with it as it will break very easy. I would have gotten the Hoover Platinum Carpet Cleaner instead.... oh wait. LOL

Let me start again. I too, had the Hoover Platinum Carpet Cleaner and junked it for a real carpet cleaner.... the Rug Doctor. :) I love mine and you do not need to baby it. These things could be used as car jacks in a pinch.

Is there a rotating brush?

Gary

The brushes move back and forth very rapidly. creating a great vibration like a beater bar on a hoover.

Here is a demo video of mine I made a while back. There is a slow motion clip of the brushes in action toward the 3/4 mark of the video. These models are identical.

Brandon, did U get the Floor Doctor tool? Or do U use the unit on hard surface floors too? What does the tag (on hose) say; is it instructions?

Floor Doctor

I wish it had a Power Brush (like the main unit itself) instead of a fixed brush.

These look very impressive in action, do you guys feel the extraction is superior to other home machines? I like the construction and appearance of more durable materials used on critical parts - the suction nozzle, brush, etc. I've never had an issue with my Hoover Steam-Vac but use it pretty rarely with all the wood floors. Do you guys think the maneuverability is adequate? That might be the only drawback I could see but the Hoover has it's limitations as well so it's probably a trade-off. Andrew, that white carpet is just beautiful!

So, how many weekly payments then? :-)

Mighty Pro vs. x3

How diffrent/similar are they? Is the x3 more powerful than the MP?
