Here is a listing of the power nozzles Rexair/Rainbow used on their canister vacs (to 1990):
1974 to 1980: Model R1024, made by Eureka; has Disturbulator wooden brush roll *1974 (model R1024A): Light woodgrain decal with "Rexair" script on lower lefthand corner *1975 (model R1024B): Same as R1024A but with 3-wire cord. *1976-1978 (model R1024C): Same as R1024B but with "Rainbow" name instead of "Rexair." *1979 (model R1024F): Same as R1024C but front label has darker woodgrain shade to match the new chocolate brown trim color of the canister unit. *1980 (model R1024G): Same as R1024F, although the last few copies of this have a new-style decal with the Rainbow name positioned in top center of decal, with rainbow stripes below that. 1981-1985: Model R1650 1986-1990: Model R2800 Attached picture: R1024F/G (if anyone has an R1024G with the stripes on the label, please reply) Which of these power nozzles is the most reliable from the 1974-1990 timeframe? Thank you, Ben |

Not sure what it was called, but I prefer the one that came with the model SE. If I recall, it had a beater-bar on it. The new ones are just too, erm, whats the word, flimsy and plastc-y VW |
