Now how cool is this! I didn't know Hoover made these things!! Did they come in any other colors? The salmon and seal greige colors seen in this carpet sweeper remind me of a Dial-A-Matic that a high-school friend's mom had in those same colors. She kept it in the hall closet buried behind a tightly packed row of overcoats -- all you could see was the base of the machine on the floor!

I'm surprised you've never seen one before, Charles.  They were pretty common around here when I was growing up.  Probably not as popular as Bissel, but several of our neighbors had a Hoover sweeper, and several of the department stores with large Hoover displays always had the sweeper as part of the lineup.
