Ok, guys, my lovely Silverado I have noticed recently when running sitting on it's butt, has a noise/ shudder on coast down in the last couple seconds. This does not occur when in normal running position. Bearings? Better not to run it in that position? Feel free to chime in with any help, please!

Noise

Sounds like you have a loose nut that holds the fans to the motor shaft.this will cause the loose fans to make noise. This is a good time to break down this machine clean the fans and inspect the motor brushes for wear.

Storage

I find while servicing those machines that people that store the machine on its butt end crack the plastic motor shell.

It has been stored on its butt since I purchased it in 93, never firmly sat down, but still on its butt.

i have seen a case in witch the fan could be 'deteriorated' from the shaft,so keep that in mind.
