Still looking for the bag top

Thank you,

I am still looking for the bag clip and the bag has some white paint on it that I may be able to actually take off without harming the bag.

They certainly put artistic thought into all of it.

Amazing designing.... and, the fact that they were all "HOOVER", well, most, is a BAD THING??? It seems perfectly natural.. well, to me... AND, I'll bet a few others. hmmmmmm

Charles - Thanks for the bag treats. I also agree that those black Kirby bags were among the most beautiful. And many of the Hoover bags from the 30's were just knockouts. Sheer works of art.

Everytime I see that Hoover bag cleaner, it just kills me. Such an interesting contraption. I think we had one at my Catholic grammar school (during the Dinosaur Era)....J

I SHOULD'VE said....We had a Hoover blackboard eraser cleaner at our grammar school.

John, like this? Or was it actually a Hoover product??

(This has suddenly become a MUST-HAVE -- what a totally cool contraption!!)

Ya know....now I can't remember. It seemed to me that it was a Hoover, but I don't know why I think that. I also thought that I saw, in one of our members' vac shops years ago, a Hoover blackboard eraser-cleaning machine. Now I am wondering if they ever made them?

That Palmer is quite fascinating. It almost looks Eureka-like. I wonder how many companies made these devices?

I remember Chalkboard eraser vacuums-saw them at the schools I went to-and have used them-the teacher would ask you to clean the erasors!Last one I saw was in the college I went to-and even used it.Really cool machines-would like to have one-as well as the sort of similar cloth vac bag vacuum.(Hoover one)I always remembered the chalkboard cleaners in janitor closets. The teachers had the keys to open them.

A chalkboard eraser vacuum would have fun!  But, we did it the old-fashioned way.....clapping erasers was one of the end-of-day classroom tasks I performed plenty of times.  We probably inhaled pounds of chalk dust by the time we finished 8th grade, lol.  Pounding the erasers against the side of the building was a strict no-no, unless you wanted to incur the wrath of the principal Sister Richard Marie!

I am

so envious of these beautiful old genuine bags. Especially the Hoover bags. Oh how I wish I had some to replace the 3 after market ones I have on my 26, 28, 29 and 31. Congrats to who ever owns these beauties !!
