Just the other night I got home to the blood kirtling scream of my mom. The dog had walked through the house with her very very dirty and wet paws. And there were dog prints all over the basement carpet. But when I got home I said never fear electrolux is here and I pulled out one of my carpet shampooers and went to town. And when I was done the carpet looked brand new thanks doug smith for the shampooer.

I guess the reason I posted this is because I want to know what kind of carpet shampooer/floor pollisher is your faverote and maybe you could all share with us whch one you enjoy the most.

I do like those classic shampooer/polishers. I have the green one, but it still needs a bit of attention as I haven't found a lasting fix to keep the brushes in. I like the automatic cord winder (which they seem to have done away with) and trim design, and they do a fine job.

I love my Lux Floor Pro. I got it many years back from a member of this forum when Electrolux became Aerus and he needed to sell off the last of the 'Electrolux' demo units. I love my Floor Pro. I like to shampoo once a month, and the Lux makes the carpet look so much better. I only wish I had the brushes for cleaning the cheep vinyl floors in the kitchen and bathrooms. Trebor, thanks a ton for the Floor Pro.

I picked up an Epic Floorpro at the thrift store last fall.  It had the shampoo brushes on it, but I don't have any wall to wall carpeting.  What I would really like to use it for is cleaning/polishing the wood floors, once I can track down the right brushes.  Up to this point I've been getting by with the polisher head on one of my Kirbys.

I had an Oreck Orbiter which did a marvelous job but, being such a charitable person I let my ex keep it along with the Miele vacuum when I moved out.

I have one also and love it, although I am interested in the dry cleaning methods used today. The Aerus website sells all the different brushes available for the Floor Pro Machines, if you don't mind buying new.
