Well its nothing really wrong, but this vacuum is quite rare. Posting it here will attract many to the auction, and in terms could possibly raise the bidding a lot.

Although some of us might have never seen it without your help.

its one of those things that can be a good thing, but not so good at the same time. I personally was thrilled to see it. Lots of great pictures of a great machine.

Not going to get involved here, but I thought the "before Fred finds out" line was funny!

I saw that same one today and was thinking about posting a thread about it, but you beat me to it! :P I wish I could afford that!

Worth it?

Is that thing work even buying?

Is it to you? It all depends on what you like!

Its an uncommon model, and original one at that. A quite desirable bag. In my opinion, its one of the nicest kirbys in my mind.

If I had the money, I would join in the bidding fun.

D80

A D80 isn't rare, but hard to find an original.

Bojacked bags?

I've noticed older Kirbys with bojacked bags on them Why is that?

Post# 130577 , Reply# 14   4/3/2011 at 21:12 (4,742 days old) by vac_whisperer ()

'Cause people think they look better. They put them on with complete disregard for the people who collect such things.

Thats a genuine new cloth bag made by kirby for the D80. Its very similar to the original, except deeper in green, and the sani pocket is vinyl and not cloth.

People replaced the bags the same reason they did with hoovers, eurekas, and every other machine practically. They just fall apart after so many years of use and disregard.

It was an issue of usage, not collect-ability.

Any green bag

Will any green colored bag make a D80 look good? Even a bojacked?

I'm fine with eBay auctions getting posted here.  Sorry if some don't like it, but I see no harm in doing so.
