TWO things:

Not negative and sarcastic:

Well, I would buy it for one of two reasons:

1)It seems like it would be a good fixer-upper project. I've been wanting to do something like that for while.
2) I'm kind of desprate for another upright. I havn't bought an upright since January when I got that Oreck. All the rest have been canistrse and handvacs.

VW...

I would hold off for another ebay ad. Such a machine could be found for under $60 or quite easily. They are out there! You'll see a few standard non-headlight vertibles pop up every couple weeks.

You could get this one for $200 and keep it, but in the future you cant get your money back for it.

Its in need of a dire restoration, which isn't too easy- new paint, plastic sanding etc.

____
Now does anyone have a nice restored/mint model of this? I dont think I have seen another one of these. Would like to see pictures of a cleaned up one.

There were so many models of these convertibles. I get lost in the not-so-common models unlike stuff like the 68, 33, and stuff.
