I would like to share some pictures of my Friends collection.

Note- none of these machines are mine, unfortunately!

First lets start with hoover.

A rare 1917 Hoover baby model C- all original.

Requires 3 drops of oil per use! Wow! Try selling this to todays housewife.

Next, some newer hoovers.

Not very rare of course. But still nice!

A 300, and a 541/3

The 541 style machine has a hoover 800 original bag on it.

Now some singers.

These machines are just beautiful!

An airway with brush roll

Quite rare if I am not mistaken! Beautiful machine.

And now for some real oddities.

I have to say these are some of the most unique vacuums!

That hoover in the left corner is not the model C as pictured above. Its even earlier I believe.

Stan Kann would be smiling right now I think!

Thanks VW!

These are just a few of his restored machines. He says he has about 50 or so vacuum cleaners.

He doesn't collect anything newer than the 1920s, maybe 30s he says. It just doesn't interest him. He knows everything about these old ones, but asking him about a kirby and he wont know what your talking about!

When I visit him, I shall take a couple pics of his other machines, and better ones of his 1908 Spangler suction sweeper.

Up next is his fan and pump organ collection! Stay tuned in the OT forum.

Hello Brandon.

Your friend has some nice machines in his/her (?) collection.

The first machine in the upper left corner of the picture in "Reply #7" is an Apex, do you know what year & model it is? If not, does anyone else? Also, what years was it produced, if more than one?

Thank you for posting these, Brandon.

Cheers & hagd/n all,

Bill

Hello Bill!

Thanks!

The machine in question, I dont know much about. He is out of town visiting his wifes parents.

He used to be a leading member of this club several years ago. He wrote articles for the club.... However, the interest group of those here, tended to be too modern he says and he decided to resign. (like I said, he dose not have an interest in 40s machines and up)

I will be sure to give him an email, and see if he can provide the vacuums history, and more pictures.
