Hi, does anyone have a complete Hoover Guardsman Celebrity? I'd love to see it. Thanks, Ron

Guardsman variations....

Hey Fred, I have both upright and canister Guardsman cleaners. My upright is a model U4313/serial 00041264, has the houndstooth vinyl bag using A bags, and the red flapper over the step-on switch. It also appears to have the two speed motor, kicking in the higher speed when the handle is in the upright position. Wonder why they would've put that on an upright that would be basically used for commericial use? How many variations of the upright were there? Mine does not have the indentation on the base for the Hoover sticker/medallion. This is one of my favorite uprights, combining the sound and feel of a convertible, and shiny metal with red trim, va-va-va-voom! I think either you or Jeff told me one time mine is circa 1980.

Ooo!

Me wants that upright! Thats a fantastic machine. My friend has 2 of them. Really beautiful!

The celebrity is equally as cool too. Hoover did a good job with these guardsman models.

Here are a few pictures of my Celebrity Guardsman... like I promised.. I purchased this machine from fellow club member Ken W. at the 2008 convention in North Canton. I still need to give it the 'Spa Treatment'. I need a headlight lens for the powerhead, too. Such a pretty machine.
