Ive got the Hoover Linx. Ive had it for over a month and so far I love it. Its the best corless Ive used.I know there expensive but I got mine for a steal, that is the only reason I got it. The box was marked clearance at Target about a week before my b-day so I couldnt leave it there.
I have used the DirtDevil 14.4 volt and it seemed to do good as far as the filter not clogging to fast, and years ago I had the Eureka Quick-Up(Straight suction) followed by The Boss Lite(Power brush) and those worked great as well. Even with 2 dogs the Quick-Up picked up a fair amount of dog hair, but not so much for the cat. By the time I got the PN version we no longer had the cat.The Eureka would be the cheaper of the bunch and it perfoms pretty well for a cheapy. I hope this helps. Kenny |

This cordless vac is highly rated by Consumer Reports - much better than the Electrolux Ergorapido and Pronto. It is excellent in cleaning surface litter on medium pile carpet, bare floors and has excellent edge cleaning. It has excellent emissions control, and is rated "good" for pet hair removal. It's a little noisier than the Electroluxes. CR reports that it takes 21 hours for it to get to full charge, and that gives you on average of 12 minutes of run time. It costs $100 and is the only stick vac tested which received an "excellent" mark for surface litter removal on carpet.
