Two vacuums to keep, and onlt two, what would they be...1 upright and one canister or tank....Here are my two, both gifts from Mike Rogers, a wonderful gentleman and great friend. 1963 Royal 975 canister...PINK! and a late 50s 801 Royal

Why Royals???

Well, as most of you know I use a different vacuum about every day,and for all around use these are tough...The 801 upright is light and easy to use, I have a newer 880 in the box like new...but it is, for some reason, just not as manuverable as the old 801, the canister has great suction, and is quiet, and I love the tools, I love all kinds of old vacs, but these are the two I use probably the most, also top rated is a 1962 GE swivel top!

For me, the two choices (after much agonizing!) would be the 1954 Electrolux Model E for sentimental reasons, and the Kirby 561 because I think it's the most beautiful Kirby of them all.

HHHMMMMM, thats a tough one. Id have to say the Kirby Heritage 2, with 4 row brush roll, new belt,Mini Emptor and G series hepa bags for the upright,,and the TriStar CXL with Hepa exhaust filter and bag liner (of course) for the cannister.

That's a beautiful 561 Charles. But I'm curious, isn't the 560 IDENTICAL to the 561? I think if I had to choose only two from my collection, (I know I'll change my mind later) I'd pick my Eureka Model M and Kenmore Imperial.

1954 Model E

That (first pic) Model E is GORGEOUS! I am guessing they are both yours? Awesome.

WOW! What a tough choice.

But, after much thought I'd have to say it would be two of my British vacs -- my Electrolux Z612E Upright and my Electrolux Z2570 Ingenio Canister! Both are quiet, powerful, durable, and easy-to-use.

Now, if we could change the number to FOUR, then I'd add into the mix my Hoover Convertible Deluxe 1070 and my Eureka 2092A Golden Vanguard!

If I had a choice?

Well if I had to choose I think I would have to choose my classic simply because I have never seen another one in person and only one in a picture before which was dougs vacuum and my other one would have to be my my rexair model B.

Here is the classic.

The two that get used most often !

I would have to say are two of my All Time 4. So first pick is my Heritage II and my Lux Ambasador for hard floors, steps and cars. Like my side kick !
Then if not the first two. The second would be my Factory,
rebuilt Dual 80, or my Discovy Lux upright, with attachments.
Again, with the side kick on the hose.
What can I say ! I really love my "Big 4" along with my
Hoover 707 upright.

I would have to affirm myself that, if I could only have two, it would be an Electrolux model E and a Kirby model 560. If I could have three I would add a Hoover model 28. If I could have four I would add and Elux model G, with PN, and if I could have a fifth it would be either the Hoover model 29 or the model 63.

Upright-- Hoover 63- too beautiful to give up!
Canister- Hoover constellation 86- Why not? Such a fantastic cleaner all around.

Hmm, well, I would keep my Kirby G4 80th Anniversary Edition, and one of my Kenmore 5055 canisters back from the 1980's with the same Ametek motors that Tristar & Filter Queen used, as it holds its suction longer than my Tristar. And the Kenmore Power-Mates also have a much better PN than Tristar.

Since these are 'vintage' and get the most use in my collection, they get my vote.

I would have to pick

Upright: Kirby Classic III
Canister: Electrolux G
Hand Vac: Hmm, hard decision. Either Kirby Vacuette or Royal Handvac.

I'd be toting my Hoover 63 for the upright cleaner and probably an Electrolux of some ilk. I love my turquoise G but I'd need a hose to use my Sidekick with it, then I'm ready to go.

It would be

It would be the DS80 for the sake of me as a little kid loving the brave little toaster and loving Kirby from then on. God bless you all....

Definitely my model 63 and my Miele Platinum canister... I've since gotten a 236 powernozzle for the Miele.

(Not sure why the color looks so off in that picture of the 63?)

Mine would be my Hoover Citation for an upright, and my lux Super J
