Well, I drove down to the salvation army and bought the thing for $5! Its heavier than i expected! Whats this machine supposed to sound like? Mine sounds sort of like a DAM, exept when you turn it off, it makes a short, weird sound. Is this normal? VW | ||

Great canister vacs!
I have 2 protables: one at my grandma's house and one here. The one at my gmas house is pumpkin orange and brown. The one I have here is sort of a beige color and brown. It's a newer model with a square hoover logo instead of a round one on the older models. They have great suction even though they're sorta heavy.
