I think all the 1974 Series 2000 Vibra Groomer vacs (2083, 2073, 2043, 2015) had those rear bumper clips. I remember that our 2083 golden Cordaway Rugulator upright had those clips too.
I can see that this model also has the two decals which say "Edge Kleener" on the hood! That's an indicator that this is the newer version of the 2012 - they added little dents on the sides of the underside brush roll cover so that they could market the vacs' "edge cleaning" ability. "Edge Kleener" dents were introduced in 1974 and the model numbers were moved up one digit to reflect the upgrade (eg 2082 became 2083, 2042 became 2043, etc.). If you don't see the dents, you don't have the original Edge Kleener brush cover. |

Aha! 1976 - cool.......that's enough time for a 1973 Model 2012 to "upgrade" to 2015!
You know, it's the same year our family bought a lower end budget Dial-A-Nap upright in Florida. It had no Vibra Groomer, just regular wood Disturbulator with red platic beater bars, and probably a weaker motor, and not the same hood - just the classic Eureka hood design with cooling vents on top. It had the exact same colouring though(orange and beige), with the identical bag. Both models also had the same two-piece metal handle with plastic cord clips and identical Dial-A-Nap panel! Enjoy your toy Garrett! |

Nice machine! So was this Eureka's economy model at the time? - Karl |

Karl - I don't think this was the lowest of the line at the time. One step down would be a 1400 series model without the VibraGroomer (just a regular wooden Disturbulator brush roll with red plastic beater bars.) The hood shape would have the standard 1400 classic three level hood profile and a thinner bumper. Everything else would be the same, methinks.
