I decided the theme, its a classic III motor and bag with a D80 cord and nozzle and a Sanitronic VII/D50 handle... Not much, as i only have 6 kirbys, and two are Generations. And its my first frankenkirby.

I'm not sire that a D80 nozzle would work on a ClassigIII motor, the safety switch is completely different on the two models, and I think the Carpet mode button on the D80 is in the middle, so the nozzle wouldn't be able to depress the CIII's switch...

It'd be easier just using a D50/80 motor and trimming it in the CIII parts... :)

@ twocvbloke:Its not for using, its just for display. And im not good with trimming. It always ends badly. @eurekastar: I have put it together, but i will post pics tommorrow.

Well, If you want a machine that runs

Use a Classic 1-CR power plant, since it and the D-80 have same safety switch. You'll get the same effect, and the machine will run.

@jfalberti

The only kirbys i have are a Dual-50, 2 dual 80s, a classic III, a G5, and a G4, so that probably wont work unless i get my hands on a classic.

my own FrankenKirby

djtaylor's profile picture
I think I will do my own FrankenKirby as soon as I can get some screws for an extra D50 motor unit. Actually, I will need to get ALL the screws since this one did not have ANY when I got it off eBay. Live and learn.
Think if it, D50 motor unit and a classic nozzle(trimed down at some point to resemble a Heritage II)Tradition handle, classic cord and Heritage bag and emtor.
I'll post pics when the 'monster' is ready for her closeup.

Do I like it... yes.

It really like rather smart. With matching trim, new cord and new bag it would look like it was intended to look like that from the factory. The D50(pieces) that I plan to rebuild into some sort of FrankenKirby may have to be painted if I am unable to polish them. They are very dull looking, not sure if I can do a proper restoration on them. If not, I will spray paint them white or something like pearl. But, we'll see.
