hi guys. I would like to try a turbo floor tool on my vintage connie, but I'm not sure if hoover made any in the button lock style used on the connie wands... anyone know?

Hey Kevin, no they didn't make a turbo rug tool back then, and even if you found one that would fit, not sure the suction on the vintage connies would be strong enough to power it. Even on the new ones, I've seen where some people are disappointed in it's performance, unless it's used on low pile carpet, orientals, etc. It's a shame they never made a true electric power nozzle for them.

and use a new one on an old "Connie". It does an ok job. Have you seen these converters?

Well, they did ONCE. I recall Tom Gasko mentioning a Constellation in the Hoover vaults that DID have a power nozzle. While it was in North Canton, was anyone else in there to see it? I understand pictures were strictly forbidden. I suppose it's possible that machine found its way into the trash when TTI took over and purged a large portion of these one-off gems.

I think I bought 2... little black things, I have my aunt using better older tools on here "Elite". The older tools are SO much better. I was dying to try the turbine brush on a vintage Connie.
