Was there a water filtrated vacuum cleaner other than a Rainbow by Rexair in the 1950s. My supervisor told me about one but the brand eludes him. If so what brand(s) were there?
Thanks

There was the Watermatic but it wasn't a water filtered vacuum like the Rainbow rather just a wet/dry vac that could suck up wet stuff after you put in the special plate to cover the intake etc.

Other water filter vacuums were Delphin and Hyla.

Don't forget Thermax & Big Power.

There is Rainbow (Rexair), Thermax and Big Power. Those are the ones that I know of. Then there were some on some infomercials a couple of years ago. Along the lines of the Shark brand line. I don't think they were Sharks, but similar to those brands. I don't believe they were very good, you don't see anything about them anymore. They didn't even have a power head.

Water filter in the 1950's

I think that Rainbow was the only water filter vacuum in the 1950's. The others came about much later, as far as I know. The Rainbow was very successful and spawned copycats. But, there could have been others in Europe. Maybe some of the older collectors might know.
