Yesterday I went into the Aerus dealer to b/s and I was looking at the FreshEra. He said I bet that is one of the few you don't have. He walked in the back and handed me the box and said Merry Christmas. I could not believe it!!

Unpack, assemble and use...

I can say it's built better than the Oreck, it's a lot quieter and does a fantastic job. It does not work as well as the full size upright but it wasn't meant to compete with that machine anyway.

How Nice!!!

That's quite a present. Good for you. It doesn't look as if the word Electrolux is on the machine or the box at all, is it?

Nice machine.

Rick

Does it have the unique Electrolux power nozzle sound? or better yet- is the belt geared or just a smooth belt like the Oreck?

The best presents are always the unexpected ones. Congratulations!

It does not say Lux on it anywhere. Just Aerus.

It does not sound like a Lux, nor does it sound like an Oreck. It uses a flat knurled belt. Of course I'm going to take it apart so I'll take some picts.

Getting this truly made my day. It was not something I would have bought which makes the gift all better.

It kind of looks like a way nicer version of the Hoover Clean & Light which is a GREAT lightweight upright. I would love to get my hands on one of thse

If history repeats itself....

The first lightweight Aerus/Lux turned up later with a lot of different badging, like the Hoover, Royal, etc. Wonder who makes it?

Coming apart

I will say it is an impressive motor. nothing at all like the tiny power nozzle motors used by other lightweight vacs.

If you'll notice the fan blades are pretty close together. I don't think this would survive anything more than a penny or dime.

Be forewarned!!

If your belt has the habit of coming off, Lux has a modification to prevent this from happening. It entails placing an end cap on the rotating shaft. Your dealer should be able to supply it free of charge. They do have a service bulletin on this matter.

Pretty neat little vacuum-and the price was sure right-yes I would be careful in letting what this one picks up-the fancase may not survive a dime either.Wonder what the price is on these?
