It didn't say. Does anyone know the price point they are looking at for this gaget? I'm guessing the super low price of $499.99

And better yet, where will it be produced? Will it come from their plant in Cookeville, Tenn., or like the Oreck Halo upright from Hing-Lung Trading Company in China :-(

Are orecks really as good as people say they are?

Well, let's just say they have their "niche" audience. I happen to be very passionate about them myself, although I was very distressed when they moved their plant from Biloxi, Miss. to Cookeville, Tenn. for no apparent reason, acquired the ill-fated Halo (and jacked up the price) and now offer Chinese-made commercial machines. I'd stick with their American-made (for now) 8-lb. upright.

Are Orecks any good

I have had several Orecks and they are alright for quick picking up (I prefer my Kirby's above all of the other brands) I like the fact that Orecks are light and easy to manuver. But I just got a Oreck XL21 from a friend in wisconsin his brother owns two oreck stores. Anyway I just fell in love with this oreck XL21, it is so quiet and powerful compared to all of the other orecks I have. I bought the XL21 to see if it was indeed more quieter then the previous Orecks, Now Oreck has a new model out it is called a Oreck Pilot(it swivels) So now I guess I have to buy one of those for my collection, especially if it is as good as the XL21..... Anyway YEAH for Oreck!
