I had the chance to spend some time in the city today, and visited a few of my old thrift store haunts. I picked up this Electrolux carpet tool, not because I have a machine that needs it, simply because at $1.91, I couldn't pass it up.

What is driving me crazy is my inability to find a thread from last year (I am almost positive that it was last year) that detailed the evolution of this particular tool. I have looked through the archives, and unless I have overlooked it, the particular thread that I want is eluding me. Does anyone know where I might find the thread in question?

Many thanks,

Joe

I remember that thread, Joe, and I may have even started it, when I realized I had 3 variations on that flip-over tool with the Gleaner strip on the thin narrow slot side.

It was Charlie Lester that provided a great photo of all the nozzles with dates beside them, I think.
And I can't find the saved picture or the thread yet either...

Maybe it was the thread that Crevipoo Rick had about restoring a plastic/bakelite version of this Electrolux floor tool. The gist of it was how the tool body had shrunk (or expanded) and how he put a new rubber bumper on it because the old one was crumbled away...or something along those lines.

And I can't find that thread, either...:-(

Thanks Dave!

Now I know that my brain cells are not drying up! I feel better now.
