So this evening I decided to go to Walmart and do some shopping. I decided to check out the vacuum isle and to my suprise there was a Hoover that I have never seen before. I cant remember the name of the vacuum but I do remember that it said "Hoover T-Series Vacuum Cleaners" on the box. To me it looks like a mix of hoovers. exp..it has a fold away handle like the hoover foldaway...2, the dust bin looks like the hoover mach 3 machines...and 3, it has a on off button on the handle/the head of the vacuum looks like the Hoover Planinum bagless vacuum. The head also said "Hoover Windtunnel" The price of the vacuum was $139.99...Could this be a cheaper version of the Planinum Collection? I tried to find some info online about it but I cant seem to find it anywhere online or on Hoover's website. Just thought I would share:-)

No its not, Its a redish color. its a bit bigger, kinda looks like the smaller version of the Platinum line bagless. Has a brushroll on and off foot switch, on/off power on the handle. the handle folds down tho just like the model above. Also comes with the older style tools. It also had a clear view window to see the brush roll and it said 'Hoover Windtunnel. I will try and stop by walmart tomorrow and take a pic or 2 and post them.

On another note, My mom used to have the hoover foldaway like the one above. it was the worse machine ever! because of where the pleated filter was located it would always get clogged, The "T-Series" I saw this evening has a dust cup on it like a Mach 3, or the Vax machines, so it dont have a pleated filter. I will get those pics and post them for ya. Might be a lil easier for me to explain then :-)

I'd love to see a picture of one of these things.... I am going to Wal-mart later (forgot an ingredient for orange coconut chicken recipe and it's the only place that will be open after work) so I'll be sure to look there tonight and see if they have gotten to my local store tonight.

Its Retailing for $139.99 and it does look like a pretty cool vacuum. I have been trying to decide if I want to get one and see whats its all about or if its even worth that kind of money. If I do I will have to let you all know.

Nope they sure don't John. The heads and brush roll are so Dirt Devil looking IMO.
I wish they would bring back the classics like they did the Connie=(

When I approached the floor model of this machine at my local Wal-mart a few days ago, I thought it looked rather cheap. I touched it and the turbine tool fell off and knocked me in the head (do I sue Wal-mart or TTI?)! I do like the handle mounted fingertip power switch, not usually found in machines in this price range. The attachments looked awful! The bare floor control for the brushroll was very easy to press which is nice. I don't know why they have a "push to turn" height selector dial like the old stoves did... kind of different, but I don't think necessary.

"but, they don't look like HOOVERS at all"

I have to disagree. The fork in the handle reminds me of the handle / bale on the Hoover 150, one of the most beloved vacuums of all times and definitely THE vacuum that set the stage for the next 50 years. I see this as a sign that Hoover is back on track to the glory days of the 150 and classic Convertible. And that this is the 150 of today.
