Hey all! I am happy to be a part of the group and cannot wait to get my membership approved to the VCCC!!! I wanted to know about a Hoover Innovation that I just got that is a hard bag model with attachments. I've never seen this option. Does anyone know about it, and does anyone have the attachments that go with it? I need the dusting brush, upholstery nozzle, and crevice tool. Or if anyone is interested in maybe trading something Hoover let me know. This is like brand new!

Dennis

European!

It does, I know! It is a UK originated machine, made for our market. I've seen several of these machines, none with the onboard attachments. Strange! Had a Sears price tag on it. It was thrown in an attic I assume right after it was bought. The unit had a busted fan. I have fixed it and it runs super fine :)

Hi Dennis, and welcome to the club, lots of interesting vacs , pics & stories to catch up on...those Innovations or Turbomasters and known by in UK are great rung lifters...they will pick up anything in their path, the Quadraflex agitator makes lightweight of dirt removal and carpet grooming, I would say stick with it, heres mine with a few of its cousins!!!enjoy, Mike

My opinion.....

Hey Dennis

AFAIK nobody over there has ever claimed to have an Innovation with attached tools(Or Turbomaster Total System as they were known over here)so im thinking you have a VERY rare machine there.

As Mike said the performance is fantastic and they almost feel self propelled lol.

Id defiantly say its a Keeper!

One odd thing...

I see it has a US serial number(I believe dating it to November 1988). All the US bullt for the UK market models I have use the standard UK serial number system. If this had a UK serial # it would be in the format U5049811xxxxxxx

I had one,About 8 years ago and I loved it,I think mabe because they were a fairly new concept of having onboard tools and they were kinda pricey they weren't to popular but they are very good cleaners.

Welcome to the group, Dennis

You're certainly off to a good start. Hoover Innovations are quite a rarity today, from what I understand they were somewhat of a challenge to work on. The front of the base resembles the early Elites. I would give my right eye for one!

Collector!

I have been a collector forever! I could spell Hoover before my own name LOL! I collect Hoover vacuums. I found this vacuum with the original bag with no dirt in it, the people must of busted the fan the first use and stored it! I've never seen one with tools. I have a rose colored soft bag one in storage but it has bad motor bearings and is singing the blues when you run it. I won't pick up dirt in it because it is so pristine. If any of the UK guys can get some attachment "spares" I would be really thankful and happy to pay!

PS: Thanks for the warm welcome. I have tried other clubs, left them almost right away, but after reading vacuumland and seeing the friendship I know I am home!
