Rob you got a Garry vac a while back(I think). How do you like it?Do you use it often?

Does anyone else have one/used one?
I was watching the Infomercial and was tempted(at work), to get one but Im not in a situation to "impulse"shop,or anykind of shoping lol, but if i am able to make budget for one Id like to know if there worth while or should I just grab an Oreck when I see one.
Ive had an Oreck and the ok but Id like to have another just to have one in the collection, plus I did like the Oreck for quick ups. Broom vac like...Any info appreciated.
Kenny

Garry Vac

I had one. I liked it. It had the tools attached. I tried it for $10.00 for a 10 day free trial. If you keep the machine they will bill you in 3 payments. I tried it and sent it back. The company did honor what they said they would do on the web site.
I would say it it equal in power and noise level to my yellow Oreck XL BUT it is NO COMPARISON to the Oreck Platinum.
The quality seemed to be pretty good on the Garry. It had a nice bag and the throw away bags are identical to the regular Oreck bags. You get free bags for life and after you have registered and payed for your machine you get free replacement for life.
The Oreck XL Platinum is NOTHING like my Oreck XL. The XL is very loud. The only thing I didn't like about the Garry was the noise level.
Rob

Alot Rob,maybe ill wait a bit then, and see if an Oreck turns up.What I liked about the Oreck when i had it is if I wanted to just do a quick clean, what I like about the Garry besides 1/2 the $$is i can do the same and its got the hose, alto mabe not strong suction I can still get edges furnature etc..the oreck I had to turn it sideways or use my hand to brush the edge stuff into the vacuum path,or pick it up to sweep up the fur from the cat's/dogs seat.Yes they have thier own lol.

Garry Vacuum

I emailed the company several weeks ago, asking just that, as well as how many amps it draws, how long the company has been in business (I don't know about anyone else, but I never heard of Garry before the infomercial) and if (Heaven forbid) the company did go out of business, were there any other bags that would fit the Garry? Needless to say, I never got a reply. That in and of itself would probably influence me to NOT buy one.

Does anyone know if there is a place online that has the Garry Vac video? I can't seem to find it (I've only seen pictures and I love watching vacuum infomercials and I don't have cable)....

Thanks!

i figured the g-vac would come closer to the platinum in perf,im thinking that it might carry a ametek 4.2 amp mtr and amatek p.n mtr also....not really a bad motor, its used as a replacement in riccars rsl-3
