Hey Brandon -
The 300 and the 800 took the same tools. They were advertised as "Duralumin" tools (that is not a misspelling) for their lightness - maybe they were made of aluminum?? Not sure. BUT...the converters are different, The 300 takes a smaller converter. There was a great post about 3 months ago about Hoover converters. I saved the images.
