What parts do I need to replace the lower bearing on a 1489A upright with a 4.8 amp motor? Also, how do I go about installing it? I recently bought the machine off of eBay and I intend to restore it as completely as possible. Thanks. | ||

1400 bearing It is best to replace the whole bearing plate housing, on these models. the biger motors you can just change the bearing. I would replace the top sleeve bearing to, as they are bad most of the time. Chris | ||

Is there any sort of trick to getting the old bearing out of the retainer? | ||
