Wow, what an incredibly beautiful machine that GE Model 111 is! I'd LOVE one of those!

And the ad uses the scottie dog - the famous art deco motif...

OMG..this is so cool

No, sadly I do not have one, but the other day watching TCM. There was a short black and white movie about some rich family, having issues. The maid in the movie was Lucielle Ball and she was using this particular GE. How cool was that? I had one at one time that was very close to this madel but not the same. This world can be so dam small and really unusual at the same time....hehe.

I just noticed - the cord's wrapped in the figure-of-eight pattern! Bad lady-with-dog!

Sorry,

when I posted my comment in a new thread I did not see this one had already been started. I'll rehash my words here so Fred can delete the redundant thread.

OMG, that is the most beautiful G.E.!! I have never seen this model. I have another from the same general vintage and it too is beautiful but completely different. Does anyone have one of these? I'd love to see more photos!!

It looks so much like the Singer R1 doesn't it. And underneath the housing, the R1, and presumably this GE, looks exactly like the similarly styled Premier Grand. I don't have a Premier Grand in my collection but have seen Stan Kann's - I do have an R1 and I am pretty sure there are photos of it here.
