I currently Have a Rainbow E Series Vacuum im working on for a customer. The motor was frooze up so i took it apart. When you take the Spider off the motor there is only a washer and a fan. the problem is when you tighten the spyder up to tighten up the fan. the spider cant spin. Is there somthing besides one washer and the spider between the fan and the washer. I dont want to run off and spend this persons money on somthing that wont work. Its like when u tighten up the nut ut tghtens up the spider and puts pressure on that fan to hold it into place, but when u do that, the spider cant spin and the motor cant spin. Id also appreciate it if anyone knows where i can find a schematic of the e series motor. not the E2,just the E.

Thanks and This is really important so Please Help

How's the lower bearing,I've only worked on SE s,the lower bearing is the most likely part to fail. Mark

I just recently had an SE motor apart and had a similar predicament. Turns out I needed to install the spider under the metal ring with screws that hold it on. I was trying to put the spider on after that was installed. I don't know if the E motor is a similar setup but it's worth a shot.

I looked at a working e and the motor is differnt. When i called rainbow i found out they switched motors due to faulty design. So she's gonna buy a new one
