Check these black test squares that came out of my Hoover Constellation. This was ONE room after the following:
(1) rug cleaned many times with Hoover Windtunnel
(2) rug steam cleaned with Hoover steam-vac
Surprising results considering the carpet is almost new and has been cleaned many many times with the uprights and this Constellation only has a Turbo Nozzle. There were more test squares too.

Amazing,

That is the same constellation I have. I don't use mine becuase I have hardwood floors and it blows that cat hair all over the room. The bag they use is awesome, no leakage, maintains great airflow.

How did you use the test pads. Did you put them in the nozzel or at the hose end closest to machine itself.

Morgan

Surprising results from the Constellation

Morgan,
There were more test clothes. I just posted 3. I put the test clothes between the hose and bag. Of course you realize the test clothes only trap part of the dirt. Some dirt still is sucked into the bag. The Constellation is just a fun vac to use. I really like the hepa bag too. One of the very few Hoovers I will use in the living space. Most of mine pick the dirt up off the rug and then leak or spew it right back out all over the drapes, floors and furniture. I can really tell if I use one of my older Hoovers the next day when you look at the dust on the blinds. I like the fact that my Connie is so quiet and it does not seem to loose suction fast.

I LOVE this machine. I got one as a Christmas gift from a dear friend and I seen it had a turbo nozzle and thought, well lets see how crappy this nozzle is. I was shocked at how well it cleaned and my carpets are thicker than most. I don't like it on bare floor because of the pet hair flying all around but for carpets it is great.

I also added a power nozzle type contraption to it. I had an Oreck that I didn't think I would ever do anything with so one day I thought, that Oreck looks like it should be a power nozzle insted of a full sized vacuum. ( no offense to Oreck lovers)(I like them too) I took the Oreck handel off and stuck the new Constallation wand right into the Oreck's neck, perfect fit!! This made a great cleaning duo. The only problem with it is you have two cords to plug in. I won't cut a hole in the side of the vacuum for the cord to plug there. It just ain't happening.

Whew!

That's good to know Phillip, I would hate to see you cut a hole in your Connie.

I have seen people do that, they cut a hole in the side of the vacuum and run the wireing through it. It's okay I guess but I can't bring myself to do it.
