Here is another message from a nice lady who wants to find homes for some vintage machines.

Good evening, Fred !

I'm in the process of finalizing a time and place on Friday the 8th to give the Hoover Model 61 to young collector Evan Strittmatter.
Looks like the sweeper will have a new home soon.

But wait...there's more ! My nephew and I have been cleaning out his late mother's / my late sister's house for some months. I was at the house yesterday, and now there are two more Hoovers that need homes.
The house was my grandparents' home, and my sister's family moved in after Grandma passed on. A lot of my grandparents' stuff got moved to the attic, including Grandma's Hoover, and there it sat.

There's a Hoover Dial-A-Matic, Model 112 D, that belonged to my sister. I don't know anything about its history. It's turquoise and grey. There's a good bit of electrical tape on the cord. I think it once had tools and a hose for them, but not anymore. I'd rate its condition as fair.

The second is a Hoover Model 63 that belonged to my Grandma. It's two- tone blue. There are dates stamped on the underside; November 1958 and July 19, 1966, are the earliest. I remember Grandma using this sweeper in the 1960's. I'd rate its condition as at least fair and maybe good.

Is there any chance of posting these two sweepers ? Do you think there are collectors who'd want either of them ? Again, the easiest thing for me would be to arrange to give them to someone at the Canton convention. If either has to be shipped, I'd like a collector to cover the cost.

By the way, you have a beautiful collection ! You've obviously put a great deal of time and effort into it!

I might have an interest in the Dial-A-Matic. How is the base of the cleaner?
