I got very very very lucky at Goodwill on May 10th, and picked up a matching pair of Oreck AIR8SD air purifiers for $7.19 each! Like the Oreck vacuums, they have been run into the ground and they are horribly clogged with dust and dirt. I will have to take them apart and blast them with my air compressor and then buy some Oreck brand spray cleaner and wash the electronic filter. They weigh a ton! I bought them for my basement to help clean the air down there since it gets kind of stagnant because when it was renovated in 1978 they never put in air return vents, and there's been a few leaks and I'm sure it's somewhat moldy.

I remember seeing these on TV when I was a kid, watching the Oreck man use them clear a smoke filled chamber. But I never seen or heard of them again after that, so I forgot they even existed!
