I remember seeing these Model XXs in the Spiegel Catalog when I was a little boy, along with reconditioned XXXs and LXs. I wonder who did the work for them.

Something smells fishy with this.......just a few machines below it (if you search eBay for “vintage Electrolux”) is the EXACT SAME machine at a different price point......does that strike anyone else as odd?

It gets even stranger...

His Ebay store page also lists:

2 Sanitaire 635a

2 Sanitaire 645a

2 Koblenz u-110

Each pair has the same price/picture
as its mate.

That particular model 12 says it was rebuilt be DESCO (a company that also supplied parts to vac shops). Most rebuilt Luxes were done by Metropolitan Vacuum in Suffern, New York. Metro still makes vacuums today, but do not rebuild Luxes any longer.

The point is this seller is double-listing.
This practice is not allowed by Ebay.
There's too great a temptation to "oversell"
one's stock, then claim the shipper "lost"
the buyer's purchase.

Unless he's stocking his inventory "two-by-two"
like Noah's ark, I'd be wary of this shop.
