For $300.....

It should at least have the correct handle. The model N launched just prior to the model 102. The "N" would have had a metal feral in the middle of the handle, connecting the two halves. The model 700 cloth bag that this "N" comes with would be great for restoring a 700. At least it has the original switch. Lots of paint loss (how does that happen) to the motor, and the motor cap has been turned backwards. If I was going to try to get $300 for a cootie infested old Hoover, I would at least try to clean it up first before I took pictures.

Taking all that into consideration it's certainly not worth 300 bucks. Yikes.

Hoover Model N in Thread #14502 from 05/31/2007

Hello All,
I have only seen a Hoover Model N on this site and on YouTube. The Thread 14502 has some good pictures of one.
As far as the price goes, I guess if you wanted it, it would be okay. How many Hoover Model Ns are out there for sale, my guess only one that we know of. I would not mind buying it just for the foot switch and motor. But that is me not, a purist collector talking.
I think out of the 30 vacuums I have the Hoover Model 61, one of my Hoover Model 28s and my Hoover 105 come close to being original.
I have bought a number of items from the seller of this Hoover Model N and I am really happy with there service and communicating with them. Price wise, I bought what I needed and wanted, and I was happy.
They have a number of brush inserts for later 30's to early 50's for sale and a really hard to find, if not impossible to find, new NORCA 80 brush roll with the 4 brushes. Again, if you need it or even the brushes, then the price is good.
I would ask Eartha Kit to sing Santa Baby with all I need for Christmas is a Hoover Model 305 bottom plate with belt protector attached. I guess I am a bit late for that.
Thank you for looking and enjoy all,
Pete
