Hi, I'm a new member and have a dialamatic with power drive that I've taken part. But was wondering at what point/length the brushes should be replaced? Also there is an circular felt like ring that came off the motor shaft, and I'm not sure what order it's place in the fittings?

Thanks Fred

Hi there Fred! Please give me your email address and I'll send you my copy of the Hoover service manual for the Dial A Matic.
The DAM is one of my.favorite machines!

"DAM is one of my favorite machines"

Andy,
I have at least 20 DAMs upstairs in the building that must be emptied. So you and others could make a trip to east TN and have your favorite DAM in you favorite color and MUCH MORE!
