I've heard these are so-so in the home so I cant imagine how well they do (or don't) in a commercial setting!

Robert, I imagine that the Bissell would do a very good job in a commercial setting. Most times you are cleaning low-pile carpeting & area rugs & mats, that isn't too demanding. Hey, think of it this way....that Bissell would whoop a Oreck XL Commercial vacuum's butt! :P
As for the Bissell's quality & holding up? Well, of course we know it would last maybe 2 years, IF that. One thing I am surprised at is that Bissell hasn't released the previous Powerforce Bagless as a commercial upright. Their direct competition, Hoover & Sanitaire, are making commercial versions of their household bagless vacuums, so there must be a demand if they are producing them. Plus I always felt the bagless Powerforce cleaned a bit better than the bagged version anyways. Rob |

I doubt the new bissel would out perform a new Oreck Commercial vacuum on cleaning low-pile office carpets and/or bare floors. It rather looks like a free vacuum that may come with the purchase of a John Deere tractor...haha. |
