So I've had my Sirena for a while now. I have it stored away because I just use my Rainbow. But today, I need to strip and change the sheets, vacuum the mattress and clean my bedroom from top to bottom (which I just finished doing). I did this on one fill because I knew my room wasn't horribly dirty, but I hadn't cleaned it thoroughly like this in about a month.
I have been told instead of following Sirena's instructions and filling to the MINIMUM line when vacuuming, instead to fill between max and min, which I did in the past. But this time I filled it to max and freaking wow what a difference in cleanup. Before the separator had visible dirt all over it, this time there was not only very little dirt on there, but the rubber surrounding the separator would get cat hair, lint, and crud stuck around the plastic and super hard to clean off compared to rainbow cleanup. There was hardly anything there this time and the water was pretty dirty. I wonder why the HE!! they instruct you to fill to minimum line when vacuuming? CLICK HERE TO GO TO mark40511's LINK |

I remember reading where you said that and you were so right. I think Tom Gasko said he filled his between min and max, but max is BEST. I have a feeling if I had done this from the beginning, I would see little if any dirt on my fans. It's not an alarming amount anyway, but it bugged me since I was doing everything correctly and have only used it a handful of times. Even in the past when filling to min, the water never got thick or no worse than just hazy mop water, but the separator is white in color and you could see dirt ALL over it. Plus, their hepa's are washable and easy to wash, so I doubt those instructions are for selling more hepa filters. I might start using it more now since the cleanup was so much easier this time.
