history. It was 'one with The V.C.C.C.'...that is The Vacuum Cleaner Collectors' Club'. A few years ago, they became separate, yet still close. There was only one VCCC...it never disbanded and a new club formed. A lot of us are still intertwined. All of the archives can tell the story also. Over the years, it has changed, 'evolved', morphed, etc...............................

The short version of this story goes like this...
In 2001 I created automaticwasher.org for us washer and major appliance collectors. In 2005 during a big wash-in gathering in Omaha, two vacuum collectors Fred N and Charlie W, came to the wash-in and approached me about creating a similar website for the vacuum side of the family and the VCCC. I agreed and within a year had created Vacuumland. In 2013 due to the amount of timer and effort it takes to run a site like this it was decided that the VCCC and Vacuumland would separate and become separate but sister entities. Vacuumland was now be run under rules and donation structure as automaticwasher.org. That's pretty much it for the history. |
