Welcome Bill! It's great that you got your hands on a New In Box Brandywine Eureka Rugulator upright! A classic bagged vac Made in the USA which was one of Eureka's best products. It may not outperform the excellent Hoover WindTunnel, but indeed should come a close second for deep carpet cleaning.
As for the bagless Eureka...well...I too dislike bagless vacs. Eureka was already losing its mojo by the time that grey upright came out. :-( |

They all look to be very well taken care of. That bagless Eureka is actually a very good vacuum cleaner, despite the mess of the tower filter. I had one a few years back and it was very well constructed with impressive airflow and agitation. The HEPA filters on these seal VERY tight. Much better than the smaller and lighter Whirlwinds of the same era. I also dig your Eureka Cordaway. It's very pretty.
