I have a Bernina 6700 vacuum. It has a switch between floor and carpet mode. So far, I have not noticed any difference in height on the carpet between the two. I think it's in floor mode only. Upon looking under, I see the white lever stick moving but really doing nothing but move the white stick. Was there supposed to be something attached to that stick for vacuuming in carpet mode? If so, where can I get the part?

You might check under the base plate, there should be a metal rod that goes from the carpet floor selector to the brush roll. If its not attached to the brush roll (which should have a small hole to hook it into) then it will not move from carpet to floor mode. On my Simplicity it moves the belt on and off the brush roll to make it spin.
