Hello everyone,
I am looking for a part for my Miele vacuum. I need the spout that connects the intake from the hose into the bag. The one I have is still there but the clips are broken and I constantly have to open the canister and reattach to the lid. The previous owner hot glued this piece on and did not tell me about it when i bought the vacuum. I have been searching eBay and everywhere else with no luck.

Blake,

Miele parts are rare for older models, and if a dealer can not get you that part, there is a great moldable putty which you can use that has a 30 minute working time, and hardens very strong. It's called Milliput, from the UK. Hobby Lobby carries it. It is sandable when dry.
I would epoxy the two pieces together first, then encase them in this putty for strength.
I have used it to repair chips in fine china as well. Model makers use it often.
It is a two part putty you knead together until the color is one. It comes in grey, white, yellow, etc.
Another is green monster brand or something like that, but it is a bit different.

Miele s300 series dust channel

The part is called the dust channel. It attaches under the lid with 4 screws. There are 3 or 4 tabs that break out, and the square piece ends of falling out the bottom. Part # for the S300 series is 04290592 suppose to list for just under 35 but most sell for just under 40. Miele's profit margin on parts use to be good, but now is nowhere near what it use to be.
